Zu sehen ist ein Ausschnitt einer Rede Willy Brandts im Jahr 1965 mit dem Titel „The new Germany enters maturity“. Anlässlich der Verleihung der Ehrendoktorwürde durch die New-School für Social Research in New York hielt der Regierender Bürgermeister Willy Brandt am Montag, dem 19. April, eine Ansprache, die folgenden Wortlaut hat: „In the life of the individual, as well as in the life of a people, there is too often a tendency to find the easy road, the more comfortable one, even though the easier way is not always the right way.
